With a tremendous speed, today, innumerable different human societies scattered in different regions are being connected with each other to make one large world. The friction is actualized here and there all over the world on this very small planet.  Tanker Project is to deliver the energy of art to audience, crossing boarders of nations and regions, with artists ideas and thoughts to face the world today, or to overcome the situation we face.

This exhibition in Yokohama will be the first launching program of Tanker Project introducing the works of our participating artists. At the same time, as participating artists of the Tanker Project, Takashi Kuribayashi and CINEMA CARAVAN, will be bringing Tanker Project to coming documenta fifteen(18 June to 25 September, 2022)in Kassel as a part of the official program of documenta, our exhibition in Yokohama will also introduce ideas and plans of Takashi Kuribayashi and CINEMA CARAVAN toward documenta fifteen.

The key term for our first exhibition will be “Lumbung” (sharing), the same theme as the coming documenta. The exhibition thus introduce some activities held by artists sharing their ideas with each of their communities.
